The Sickle-Patients & Providers Education Retreat delivers cultural competency training and education
about health disparities, as well as education about the medical aspects of caring for individuals with sickle
cell disease.
To all if you’re wondering if you should buy this book, with out thinking twice. Out of all the books that I have
read over my 27years of life, I have never read anything that has made me laugh and cry in one book. I
knew my girl was going to put her all in this book but I never thought it would touch my heart the
way it did. This book has been a very important part of my life now I never leave home without it. It not only
lifted my spirits but it gave me a new passion to want to live and to go pass the limits that the world has set
for a SCD patient. If you never heard of SCD and you have no idea what it means this is the book for you. It
has touched me in a special way that I have given it to my Pastor, Parents, Boyfriend, and anyone that
